Mobile Data setup and activation

Simply follow the steps below to activate mobile data on your handset.

General
Android handsets
iPhone handsets
iPad
Windows Phone

General handsets

1. Simply dial the short code *101# to set up and activate your handset.

    You can also setup your handset manually with below WAP setting:

Profile Name	PCCW 3G
Homepage	http://m.pccwmobile.com
HTTP gateway IP	10.140.14.10
HTTP gateway Port	8080
WAP gateway IP	10.140.14.10
WAP gateway Port	9201
Access Point Name	pccw

2. Setup NetMail
    Please click here to browse the setting now.

3. Setup NetMail Plus
    Please click here to browse the setting now.

Android handsets

1. Press Menu, choose "Settings" > "Wireless & networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Access Point Names"
2. Press Menu, choose "New APN"
3. Enter the following information:
   • Name: PCCW 3G
   • APN: pccw
   • MMSC: http://3gmms.pccwmobile.com:8080/was
   • IP: 10.140.14.10
   • Port: 8080
4. Press Menu, choose "Save"
5. At the Browser, simply enter http://m.pccw-hkt.com to browse Infotainment service content (m.pccw-hkt.com).

iPhone handsets

1. Setup APN

	Click "Settings"		Choose "General"		Choose "Network"
	Choose "Cellular Data Network"		Enter "pccw" for APN.  Usename and Password  are not required.

    After the APN is set up, you can start browsing the internet or using data services.

 

2. Setup MMS
    Please click here to browse the setting now.

 

3. Access Infotainment service content (m.pccw-hkt.com)
    At the Safari browser, simply enter http://m.pccw-hkt.com

 

4. Setup NetMail
    Please click here to browse the setting now.

 

5. Setup NetMail Plus
    Please click here to browse the setting now.

iPad

1. Search mobile network

Click "Settings"

Choose "Carrier" and select "PCCW(3G)"

 

2. Setup APN

Click "Settings"

Choose "Cellular Data" and select "On"

Choose APN Settings

 

Enter "PCCW" for APN

 

Username and Password are not required.

3. Smart Tips:

If you want to use Wi-Fi for browsing, make sure you have Wi-Fi indicator while browsing and stay under Wi-Fi coverage. For details, please click here.

If moving out of a Wi-Fi coverage, handsets will auto connect to GPRS. To disconnect a GPRS connection:

Click "Settings"

Choose "Cellular Data" and select "Off"

Windows Phone

Simply follow the steps below to activate your Windows Phone mobile data function:

Enter "Settings" > "System" > "Mobile Network" > "Edit APN"		APN: Enter "pccw"

 

When the above settings have been made, restart your handset and you can enter http://m.pccw-hkt.com via Internet Explorer for Infotainment service content (m.pccw-hkt.com) content, or enter URLs for other websites.
