Opening Your Mailbox

Using PCCW mobile handset:
1. Press 92 OK to directly access the Voice Mail menu
2. Press 90 OK to directly listen to your message.

Using any Touch-Tone Phone:
1. Dial 6388 0000
2. Enter your PCCW mobile phone number
3. Enter your Voice Mail Passcode

  • For first time voice mail activation, select your preferred language :
    Cantonese 1
    English 2
    Putonghua 3
    Press 1 to confirm language selection
  • Default password for voice mail is the first 6 digits of HKID or Business Registration Number. Pls change your passcode to prevent unauthorized access to your Voice Mail

Mobile Fax Service & Fax Mail Bundle (2G)

Mobile Fax Service & Fax Mail Bundle

1. To divert Mobile Fax Number to Fax Mailbox
Activate: Press short-cut key

2. You will be notified by SMS when a new fax message is stored at Fax Mailbox (same as Voice Mail Message)

3. When you are ready to retrieve the fax, you can access the Fax Mailbox by calling 92339233 on landline phone or *92 on your mobile phone and follow the instructions to input a fax machine number for fax retrieval.

Remarks:
- You must be a Value-added Service subscriber, in order to use the Call Forward function to divert your Mobile Fax Number.
- Maximum 30 pages can be stored in Fax Mailbox. Maximum storage time is 7 days.
- Mobile Fax can be used to receive and store fax messages while roaming but the messages cannot be retrieved overseas
- Airtime charge is applicable for using landline/ mobile phone to access your Fax Mailbox


SIM Card Security

SIM Card Security

Use your handset to activate your PIN code (4 - 8 digit number) to prevent unauthorized use of your SIM Card.

When the SIM card Security Function is activated, the PIN Code has to be entered each time the phone is switched ON.

Default SIM Card Security PIN Number: "0000"

If you enter your PIN code incorrectly three times, your SIM card will be blocked. If this happens, please contact PCCW Consumer Service Hotline on 1000 or Business Consumer Hotline on 10088. If you enter the wrong PIN code 10 times, your SIM card will be blocked permanently. You will be unable to use your phone until you purchase a new SIM card.


Smart Voice Mail Service FAQ (3G)

1. My voicemail messages are important and I want to keep them. What can I do?

A1: Sorry. Our voicemail service does not provide a save function.

With effect from March 26, all read and unread messages should be deleted in three and seven days respectively. In order to enable our customers to familiarize themselves with the auto-housekeeping feature, we have already extended the expiry period of messages received before March 26, 2008 to 14 days until April 9.

 

2. Can I retrieve my voicemail messages after they are deleted by the auto-housekeeping in 3/7 days?

A3: Sorry, deleted voicemail messages cannot be retrieved, whether deleted by yourself or by the auto-housekeeping function.

3. If my mailbox is full, will I receive an alert? What will my friend (the caller) hear when he/she reaches my full mailbox?

A4: When your mailbox is nearly 70% full, you will hear the following alert when you call check your mailbox:

 

-Your mailbox is nearly full. Please delete unwanted messages

 

When your mailbox is full, the caller will not be able to deposit any voice mail and the system will play the following:

- This mailbox is full, bye bye


Smart Voice Mail Premium Package FAQ (3G)

 

1. What is the Smart Voice Mail Premium package? What is the difference between my smart voicemail package and this premium package?

A1: In terms of features, Smart Voice Mail Premium package is exactly same as that of the ordinary Smart Voice Mail package. The only difference is the mailbox size and expiry period of read and unread messages.

2. After I changed to Voice Mail Premium Package, will my voicemail messages be deleted or changed to the premium package?

A2: Your voicemail messages will not be deleted because of changes to the voicemail package. Once you migrate to our premium package, the expiry period of all voicemail messages will be extended to seven days for read messages and 15 days for unread messages
